What does Edgy Love mean to you? Do you love or fear living life on the edge? No matter who you are, at Edgy Love we are all unique individuals but we love to connect--through love! From the inventor of the heart hand gesture comes a brand of products that continue to allow us all to connect through love! This is about making the negative space positive and about celebrating our individuality as well as our love to connect to everything around us!
About the inventor: Tali Lehavi has had a life long passion for connecting to all things--always reaching with an open heart and open arms eager to get to know strangers, drawing and writing about imaginary characters that can communicate with plants, animals, rocks, mountains, and all inanimate objects. Lehavi invented the heart hand gesture when she drew these imaginary cartoon characters for her stories about Planet Heart in 1996. (Actually, she invented it as a kid but kept it a secret until she drew the heart hand for her cartoon characters with the dream to make it a trademark gesture that all Planet Heart fans will identify with.) With a double degree from UC Berkeley behind her, Lehavi worked full time on developing lines of products inspired by the heart hand gesture, and the Edgy Love Dice was eventually born. Lehavi had initially patented and trademarked the heart hand gesture in 2001, and then pitched it at an inventor's convention to famous agents such as the William Morris Agency (Taylor Swift's agency,) which later adopted the heart hand gesture for promoting Taylor Swift.
The Edgy Love brand: We are all Edgy, whether we know it or not. I have been assumed to be goth by some, and a boring square nerd by others. None of these labels defines me. What does define me is my love of connecting to everyone and everything. This game is for people who don't want to be defined and confined by any one category, who seek to break categories and connect with just about whatever and whenever. It has been my dream that all products will be able to connect to other products since I dreamed up Planet Heart in 1996. I hope to add many products to this website that will communicate this loving connectivity.
